I could not open my social media pages without seeing an ad from the newest Loreal product, the 8 second wonder water.
As the name says it already, this ‘wonder water’ should be a huge miracle for your hair and transforms your hair in obviously, only -8 seconds-… I could not wait to get my hands on it and put it to the test, let’s transform my bleached hair!

I have to admit, it was very difficult to find this in stock, it was literally out of stock everywhere. After almost giving up on it, I popped into my local Superdrug and found the dream lengths 8second wonder water. Perfect, without thinking I made my way to the till to pay for this miracle product.

First of all, I would like to say that the marketing for this product has been insane, you simply can’t miss this product, it was everywhere, literally on any social media channel. I am a curious person and always keen to try everything out, when I keep seeing things around I usually do like to test it myself too, just to see if it’s really that good. So yes, plus points for marketing Loreal, well done.

Now back to the product, the reason why we are here. This product should be a very deep conditioner, you use it after washing your hair directly on wet hair and is used on the lengths of the hair only, so not on the scalp.
You massage the product for 8 seconds (easy)
Rinse out – easy too.On the bottle you can see exactly how much you need to use, 20ml for each use, the bottle is 200ml. I feel that you need to use quite a bit of product for each use, but if it really works as a wonder water, I wouldn’t be mad about  it…

Right, I used this product 5 times, and each time I was so extremely disappointed. I am used to using great hair products, I always have salon quality products that I use for my hair and I am very picky with what I use. However, after reading So many good reviews about this product, I knew I needed to try it.

Boy, I couldn’t be more wrong. What a joke. This product literally didn’t do anything for my hair, nothing at all. To be very honest with you, it made my hair in a worse condition. It feels extremely knotty, hard, and frizzy. I hated the feeling and was actually so annoyed. After using it for 5 times I can now really say that this isn’t the product for me. I have bleached hair, I need very good hydrating products to keep my hair in control, this just isn’t enough.

I usually do not like to share ‘negative’ reviews, but I really felt like sharing this. Especially because the only thing I see are positive (paid) reviews, so important to do your own research and a reminder for myself too that there is a lot of fake reviews out there.

I am wondering if you ever used a product that you had such high hopes but absolutely hated it?
